Subject: Lets take a trip down memory lane~ Tue Jul 17, 2012 4:15 am
Okay, so this is just a random thing I've set up, so, this topic is about
Things from your past that make you feel all nostalgic, this is referring only to eithier TV SHOWS, or GAMES.
Also note, This is STRICTLY NON-SONIC, Because well, it would just be obvious, well here what you wanna do is post a youtube video related to your choice, then
1. What your Show/Game is about
2. What made it memorable for you
3. Looking back, is there anything that...isn't is as good as you remembered.
I'll start us off~
Dragon Ball GT!
Anyway, this show is about a Hero of the universe, Goku, he is turned into a child and sent on a huge adventure across the galaxy to recover the dragon balls in hope to return to his former self.
The reason it was memorable for me, when this show aired I was about 7, and thats the age we're you become addicted to action and excitement, and thats what this show was about, it sucked me in and had me watching for ages.
Now onto what changed looking back, Now looking back, I realize that in terms of plot, animation pretty much everything. Dragon Ball Z is VASTLY superior to GT, But, GT is still on top for me because of my HUGE Nostalgia for it.
Now, its your guys turn, Please you, you CAN do more than one, you just first need to wait until someone else has posted, a.k.a No double posting

Subject: Punk, is it strictly 1 memory? Or can it be two? Tue Jul 17, 2012 5:12 pm
Because personally, I have two experiences I'd like to share. Might as well share the first.
My first memory definitely has to be the Sony Playstation 1. When I was growing up in 1998-2001, my cousin had a PS1 and he would always bring it whenever his mom came to plant stuff.
Video: Always got the logo jingle stuck in my head, but it's the playstation 1998-2002 boot up screen for the original PSX.
And looking back, it's kind of nostalgic for me. Cause I own a playstation myself now and I always play it to relive my past. Most games for it I got from my cousin.

Heres my second
BRING ON THE HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAATE!!
Anyway, Yesh Power Rangers: Wild Force.
When most people think Power Rangers, they mostly refer to the MMPR However, Wild Force was always my favorite, I grew up with it, the fight scenes are awesome and still are, the acting is.....decent, however
The Effects and animations are HORRIBLE XD

The Nintendo GameCube (GCN)
It gave us tons of good games like Super Mario Sunshine and Mega Man Anniversary Collection.
The GCN bootup screen:
And thinking back, this is another nostalgia trip for me.
Edit: I also have a third- the Nintendo 64.
Ocarina of Time, Majora's Mask, Super Mario 64.

Pokemon Emerald Version for GBA
1. What your Show/Game is about: Pokemon Emerald is a GameBoy Advance game which takes place in the region of Hoenn, where there are strange creatures known as Pokemon. People can capture Pokemon and use them for competing in battles or maybe just showing them off in contests. Two 'evil' organisations known as Team Aqua and Team Magma are trying to awaken two legendary beasts known as Kyogre and Groudon. Team Aqua wants to control Kyogre so they can expand the sea, but Team Magma wants to take control of Groudon to expand the land. It is up to you to stop the two teams from accomplishing there goals by raising and training your Pokemon through various battles.
2. What made it memorable for you: What made it memorable for me? Everything. Although I don't remember many specific things, this game was literally my childhood. I think the main reason it stood out to more than other games was that my only Pokemon game before that was Pokemon Yellow, but it was in Spanish for reasons I can't remember...I never really knew much about the Pokemon franchise and to be honest if it weren't for me playing Pokemon Emerald I would have never really gotten into Pokemon. This game is also very nostalgic for me, I do anything to play it for the first time again c:
3. Looking back, is there anything that...isn't is as good as you remembered: Hm...Not really looking back, but when I play the game now it doesn't have the same "oomf" it had back the :c

Really gonna show my age with this one, but the Sega Master System. (We're talking 3rd Generation of consoles my friends)
Technically the fourth generation of consoles - the Mega Drive and all that - had been released a couple of years before my birth. Despite this fact, we were quite a poor family, so I started my journey into gaming with this li'l old thing before we had chance to move on to the next generation. It wasn't the best console, and I don't think anyone's ever gonna try and argue that it was, but as a start to games it's all I needed. It really gave me an appreciation of older and more classical games - one I still hold today - and I believe it really did shape me as a person growing up.
